First Aid Training Session

About Thrive Together Training

Thrive Together Training is a family-run business based in Littleborough, Greater Manchester. Our Directors are Matt and Helen Stuart, supported by our adult children. We offer high-quality First Aid Training to both businesses and individuals. Our courses are OFQUAL regulated and accredited through FAA (First Aid Awards).

Our Training Director and resident paramedic, Matt, is a qualified level 3 educator, so you can be sure that we can offer high-quality training which meets government standards as set out by the Health and Safety Executive.

The law surrounding First Aid at work can feel quite ambiguous. Matt has a good working knowledge of the legal requirements of First Aid within businesses/groups and can discuss this with you to ensure you meet your legal obligations.

Our community-based courses are for individuals or small businesses to book 1-6 delegates onto. We also make group bookings for up to 12 people and are able to bring this to your workplace or group premises. We have use of a boardroom locally at additional cost for groups who do not have a suitable space available for use.

Our range of courses can be tailored to suit the needs of any group.

Helen Stuart - Operations Director

As Ops Director, I'm responsible for the smooth-running of the business, keeping things up to date and driving change. A big people person, I head up all our networking, emails, social media, marketing, and bookings.

I hold a Teaching Assistant qualification and enhanced DBS, am safeguarding and, of course, First Aid trained, and am an experienced group facilitator. As such, I co-facilitate our Mini Medics courses with Matt and I attend various high school events.

I have a strong sense of community and have volunteered with various charities for a number of years, in parent support, a foodbank, our church community, and very recently I have made connections with Springhill Hospice.

I educate our youngest daughter and am her full-time carer, advocate, and assistance dog trainer. As a family business, I involve our Little Boss in discussions and encourage her to think through business processes with me.

I am also parent to three adults and love to go with them to watch my son play at concerts, or just sit and chat with them. I have an interest in languages and am learning to speak Italian, and love to crochet and play games.

Matt Stuart - Training Director

Hi, I'm Matt and I work as Thrive Together Training's resident paramedic and Training Director. I joined the ambulance service in 2004 as an emergency medical technician, qualifying as a paramedic in 2013.

I gained a wealth of experience on the road in dealing with a range of medical emergencies, from minor injuries to more severe incidents. I have a strong desire to share these skills with others to upskill and strengthen our community, making it a safer place to be.

I have a passion for helping others learn how to help people in need and love running first-aid courses, teaching the subject matter in a friendly, fun and interactive manner.

Outside of my training role I take an active part in our Little Boss's home education. She herself now holds one of our Mini-Medics certificates after completing the course with her home-ed group.

I love to clear my head with a good run or session at the gym, and am a keen gamer when I get the opportunity.
