Information we collect and why
Enquiries and training bookings
When you use our contact or booking forms, we collect your name, email address, telephone number, organisation and the details you give us about the training you need, such as the courses, number of delegates and preferred dates. We use this to respond, arrange training and prepare a quotation. We rely on our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries and, where you go ahead, on taking steps to enter into and perform a contract with you.
Delivering training
When we deliver a course, we may hold delegate names, attendance and assessment records, certificate details and invoice records. We use this to run the course, issue certificates, meet the requirements of the bodies that regulate our qualifications, and keep the business and accounting records the law requires.
Website analytics
If you accept cookies, Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity record how the website is used, such as the pages visited, general location, device type and how visitors move through a page. We use this to understand which pages are useful and improve the website. Neither is loaded until you accept, and rejecting them does not restrict the website.
Security and spam prevention
Our forms are protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a submission comes from a genuine visitor. It may process technical information such as your IP address and browser and device signals. We use it for our legitimate interest in keeping the website and forms secure.
Google reviews
Some pages show our Google reviews through a widget provided by Elfsight. When those pages load, your browser connects to Elfsight's servers, which receive technical information such as your IP address.
Who receives your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only where needed with trusted service providers, including:
- BM Technologies, which builds, hosts and maintains this website on our behalf;
- SMTP2GO, which delivers the emails our website sends when you submit a form;
- Cloudflare, which provides form protection;
- Elfsight, which displays our Google reviews;
- Google and Microsoft, which provide analytics only after you accept cookies; and
- our email, accounting and other business service providers, and the awarding bodies for our qualifications, where needed to deliver our services.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may process personal information outside the United Kingdom. Where information is sent to a country covered by UK adequacy regulations, we rely on that adequacy decision. In other cases, we require an approved safeguard, such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK Addendum to the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.
How long we keep information
We keep enquiries for up to 24 months after the last contact, unless they become customer records. Training, certificate, invoice and accounting records are generally kept for up to six years to meet legal, tax and regulatory obligations. We may keep information for longer where the law requires it or to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can ask for a copy of your personal information, have inaccurate information corrected, ask for deletion or restriction, or receive your information in a portable format. Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting processing that has already taken place.
Your right to object
You have the right to object at any time when we process your personal information on the basis of legitimate interests. If you object, we will stop unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or the processing is needed to establish, exercise or defend legal claims.
Email admin@thrivetogethertraining.com to exercise any of your rights. We normally respond within one month.
If you are unhappy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or by telephone on 0303 123 1113. We would appreciate the chance to resolve your concern first.
